ASP Spotlight
Nicolette Land
Nicolette Land

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana; Nicolette "Nikki" Land is our ASP with the technical know-how we go to when the rest of us are all-thumbs; and for good reason! As a CIT major, she's always willing to help anyone with hardware, software or networking computer problems. This could be due to the fact that her father works as a Senior Telecommunications specialist for Duke Energy. As a result, she's been working on computers since she was 5 years old and built her first computer at age 9! An exemplary employee with N+ and A+ certifications Nikki has also taken the helm of our OnBase project which is bringing all of our paper files into the digital age. It's such a pleasure to have her aboard and we look forward to having her work here for years to come!

Selena Rosas
Selena Rosas

Selena Rosas is one of our newest ASPs who has emerged as a leader and trusted employee almost immediately. Originating from East Chicago, Selena is a Junior, majoring in Journalism and is also a member of Sigma Kappa sorority incorporated. You will frequently find Selena masterfully answering the phones and scheduling exams at the front desk on Thursdays and Fridays. Selena brings her special brand of humor and positivity to the office on a daily basis, cheering up staff and students alike. For this and many other reasons, we're lucky to have her aboard!

Jessica Elish
Jessica Elish

Jessica Elish is a senior at IUPUI majoring in Psychology. Not only has she emerged as a capable and trusted ASP despite having only worked for the office a year, but she's become a go-to staff member on many occasions to perform duties from proctoring to presenting! An active member of Phi Mu sorority incorporated, Jessica also serves as an executive committee member for Fraternity and Sorority Life. After graduating, she plans to enter the accelerated nursing program at IUPUI to become a registered nurse. If her accomplishments in the classroom are in any way a reflection of the work ethic she shows here, we have no doubt of her pending success!

AES Shows Pride with Lea DeLaria!

Adaptive Educational Services supports the 5th Annual Harvey Milk Dinner

The Fifth Annual Harvey Milk Dinner celebrates LGBT inclusion on IUPUI's campus by inviting the Indianapolis Community to join in the celebration. This year did not disappoint. Taking place on National Coming Out Day (Saturday, October 11, 2014) the dinner featured the phenomenal keynote speaker Lea DeLaria. DeLaria, noted comedian, actress, and jazz musician is best known for her role as "Big Boo" in the show Orange is the New Black. She's also known as the first openly gay comic to break into the late-night talk-show world with her appearance on the Arsenio Hall Show back in 1993.

Her message was clear. Be yourself and apologize for nothing. Delivered in an in your face and blunt fashion while simultaneously charming and endearing as well. Finishing the night with a rousing Jazz number and Broadway tune sang from her golden pipes, the AES staff laughed, learned and loved this year's dinner. We were happy to support as a Rainbow patron and will look forward to doing so in years to come!

If you schedule your exams online did you know that when you enter your class number it should be entered in as the name of the class? (i.e. Math M118, or Chem C106, Ast A100, etc.)

This helps us to ensure the proper class is notified about your scheduled test and that we get the right exams on time!
